Excellent book with lots of great information on playing small stakes live poker. If you have played live poker in a casino and are having trouble winning get this book as it will help you look for mistakes you or your opponents are making so you can take advantage of them. This book was better than I thought it would be and worth the money.
Straight forward and practical. Definitely improved the quality of information that I process during each hand and session.
The author plays a lot of live poker in Las Vegas spefically small stakes NL holdem & details extensively what the "donkeys" do and then gives you great tips to (1) not be a donkey and (2) how to beat the donk.
The author is a genius according to his C.V. in the book, i.e., he has degrees in engineering and astronomy/astrophysics. He is basically a rocket scientist who sits around and plays live poker in Las Vegas.
Really helps you focus on fixing the mistakes you know you shouldn't be making, while exploiting those same mistakes made by other players which are so common in live low stakes games.
Explains well the concepts that Donk players exhibit and how to exploit them. Can't wait to try what I've learned at the casino!
I've reread this book many times.
I don't yet play medium to high stakes games, so many of the games I am involved with have Donks as described in this book.
Also, realized that some of my play was also described as Donk and I did not realize it until reading this.
Significantly improved my game in low stakes tables.
